Jorge Brea [CEO & President] Spinal Tap

Its the ultimate rock n roll satire that created a genre in film and made instantly quotable phrases such as “This goes to 11”.

Adam Bentley [Web & Graphic Designer] Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny

The story of an oppressed child on a quest to form the world’s most awesome rock band. The key to all the rock greats was that they all used the same pick, The Pick of Destiny, which has supernatural powers and was made from Satan’s tooth. With this pick they defeat even Satan himself in a rock off and become the greatest band alive! This shows that with hard work and determination, even you can become the world’s most awesome musician!

Janette Berrios [Director of Marketing] Janis: Little Girl Blue

It’s a documentary on Janis Joplin that depicts all the challenges and struggles she had, but at the same time leading her to becoming a singer and bad-ass at it!

Julio Brea [Director of Sales & Support] Ray

Depicts humble beginnings and struggles of Ray Charles.

London Crosby [Director of Technology] 24 Hour Party People

The story of how a small Sex Pistol gig in ’76 changed the Manchester England music scene forever when local TV new reporter Tony Wilson and friends decided to start Factory Records and later the legendary Hacienda club.

If you’re a bit more familiar with the music history then you can connect the dots even further than what’s in the film, and how the Hacienda influenced the next generation of artists like Fatboy Slim. Fun fact: Madona’s first UK gig was at the Hacienda. So was the first death from ecstasy in the UK.

Sean Davis [Content Manager] Part Of The Weekend Never Dies

An awesome documentary about Soulwax and 2 Many DJs. Includes a full live performance of many parts of their tour spliced seamlessly. The interviews of their peers talking about the group and their importance in the scene is super eye opening. You get a real sense of their passion and the dance-punk energy at their shows.

Astra Dunbar [Marketing Assistant] The Temptations

Its shows the music industry in the 1960’s following the career of the Temptations. A classic in my family. Anytime that movie is playing in my household, guarantee everyone is belting out the songs.

Vanessa Johnson [Creative Designer] Coal Miner’s Daughter

This film tells the story of Loretta Lynn and how she made it as a country singer. Sissy Spacek won best actress for it.

Ricardo Ocasio [Accountant] Meeting People is Easy

A documentary about Radiohead showing the good and the bad of being a rock star.

Patrick Zajda [Label & Artist Rep] Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon

Really cool documentary I’ve watched several times on Netflix. It’s an unfiltered look into Shep Gordon’s life as a manager who found, and to this day still represents, Alice Cooper. Awesome behind-the-scenes look into the entertainment industry, creative branding, and impactful marketing.
